HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Alright so here we are on day 29 of our series. Ya'll have really trooped it with me on this journey huhn? It's been a long time coming. If you've noticed, the blog posts are getting shorter and shorter the further we go. But the length is not an indication of the importance of the topic. I feel like I have less to write about the more important things because to me they're straightforward1. WAIT! Woah, I just got right into this one and didn't even greet ya'll. My apologies. Hey! How are you doing today? We're good? Alright, I'm glad you're here. OK, let's continue. This lesson is one of the most important lessons to me. I believe it is because of this that I am who I am. The Lesson is:

YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP YOU CAN HAVE.

There is a verse that I have quoted a few times in this series. I'm going to bring it back one more time. This time, however, I'm going to give you the part that comes before it as well. When asked what was the most important commandment of them all, Jesus responded with this:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30

The most important thing that you can do, and the most important thing that I have done, is to Love the Lord. But, how can you say you love the Lord if you don't have a relationship with Him? And How can we say we have a relationship with him if we consistently neglect Him? You don't think you're ignoring Him but you are. You don't spend time with Him, you don't talk to Him, you don't worship. You rely on Him being all-knowing and only check in when you need something. How would you like to be in a relationship/friendship with someone who only talks to you when you need something?

In my life I have had my fair share of Judas's. I've had friends sell me out for a few pieces if silver. I've had people turn their backs on me. The only one who has never left my side, is the Lord. He is my friend for real. I've gotten to a point where I talk to him as if He's sitting right next to me. Without Him, I honestly don't know where I would be or what I'd be doing... but I know it wouldn't be good. This is one of the reasons I started my "Testimony Tuesday" Series on Youtube. So that the world could hear stories of how God comes through for people in the big ways as well as the small ways. He wants a relationship with you. He wants to hear from you daily. He's there anyways. Just talk to Him and He'll take the lead. It's time you start doing your part in this relationship.

I know you think you have to be a certain way or get certain things in order before you can really focus on Him and give Him your all. That's a lie from the pits of hell. The enemy wants you to always think you're not good enough or you're not ready yet. You are. The Lord wants you just as you are right now. It is your relationship with Him that will help you do the rest. Just take "it" and all of you to Him. He's waiting for you.

With that, I leave you with this verse:

And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the LORD.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already. - Hebrews 8:11

I love ya'll for reading, and I love ya'll for real!
